Imagine a contest where everyone of all ages, in a two-week period from September 2nd to midnight September 16th, take pictures that capture their favorite aspects of why they love Tustin. The goal of the “Snap Tustin!” photography contest is to record all aspects of the transition from Summer to Fall in Tustin through the eyes of everyone in the community – young and old alike.
The theme for the photos this year is — “Tustin now open for business” (business, events, social gatherings, etc.)”.
Snap Tustin entrants will take digital pictures during the two-week period and then submit them online for judging. A panel of judges will select the 8 winners. In addition, there will be a People’s Choice winner based on online voting. Ribbons and cash prizes are awarded for winning photos. All entrants will be entered into a drawing for 2 tickets to Broadway in the Park. In addition, a collage of all the photos will be displayed on the TACFA website and at the Art Walk & Craft Crawl scheduled for October 15th. Winners will be announced at the Art Walk & Craft Crawl. TACFA happily sponsors this unique contest that was conceived by former TACFA Board Member and professional photographer, Sharyn Sakimoto.
Anyone can enter —amateur and professional alike.
