Our Programs

TACFA supports a wide range of programs to develop, showcase, and support the arts in our community. We strive to create rich opportunities for arts participation for everyone.

Broadway in the Park

TACFA’s signature program, Broadway in the Park, is a first class musical production with a professional cast that offers affordable Broadway musical theater to people who live in Tustin and nearby communities. This popular event is a “party in the park” with a large and enthusiastic audience every night of its five-night run. And low-ticket prices ensure that everyone can afford to attend.

Student Art Competition

We organize a student art competition and exhibit that draws over 200 entries and offers prize money to the students, and stipends to their teachers.

Artscapes

Our Artscapes program seeks to provide the city with public art sculpture that will enhance the beauty of Tustin.

Kids Koncerts

TACFA provides the funding to send over 1,000 Tustin Unified School District 4th graders to a symphony created just for children. Kids are encouraged to pursue an interest in music and the arts.

Elementary Art Education

We provide funding to nine Title 1 elementary schools to enable them to have art education for their students.

Barbara Benson Memorial Arts Scholarship

TACFA’s scholarship programs help graduating high school seniors to continue their art education.

Voices of Tustin

TACFA assists with funding of The Voices of Tustin chorus, which performs their musical magic to entertain the Tustin community.

The heART of Orange County

TACFA, in conjunction with Chemers Gallery, helps to promote and fund an annual all-media juried exhibit for local artists.

Tustin Art League

TACFA also provides funding to the Tustin Art League, an organization of visual artists whose purpose is to enhance the visual arts within the community to enrich and energize citizens of all ages.

Tustin Art Walk

TACFA organizes and provides funding each year to support the Tustin Art Walk, featuring live music, wine and beer tasting areas, a kids craft village, and more.

Plein Aire Competition

TACFA provides the prize money for the Plein Aire Art Competition at the Art Walk. A week before, artists descend onto Old Town Tustin and local Tustin parks to paint their sceneries for the contest.

Learn More About TACFA

The Tustin Area Council For Fine Arts was founded in 1992 by a group of community members who recognized the need to support the arts and how the arts would bring value to the people who work, live, play and learn in the greater Tustin area.

TACFA’s mission is to develop, showcase, and support the arts in our community. We strive to create rich opportunities for arts participation for everyone!

TACFA funds and administers programs which expand the arts in the greater Tustin Area and enrich the entire community.

The Council raises funds through individual and corporate contributions and fund-raising events. These funds subsidize elementary students’ participation in the Fibo – Kid’s Art Academy & Meet the Masters, provide scholarships to graduating high school seniors, sponsor the Student Art Invitational to showcase local talent, support student creativity and interest in the arts, and allow TACFA to produce an annual affordable production of a classic Broadway musical at a local outdoor venue.

TACFA’s Board Members are eager and hard-working volunteers who make all of this happen to enhance the quality of life in Tustin!
