TACFA
and LimonCarr Set Stage for The Music Man
The Tustin Area Council for Fine Arts (TACFA) in association
with LimonCarr productions has signed the production contract for
its 8th annual Broadway in the Park musical event. The Music Man
will be staged in Tustin’s Old Town Peppertree Park every
evening from August 19 through 23.
Confidence man Harold Hill comes to River City, Iowa,
to talk the citizens into buying musical instruments and uniforms
for a boys’ band, though Hill doesn’t know a trombone
from a timpani. He intends to collect the money and skip town with
the cash. His plans are foiled when he meets and falls in love with
Marian the Librarian, who transforms him into a respectable and
responsible citizen by the close of the play.
The Tustin Area Council for Fine Arts, in association
with LimonCarr Productions, presents a vibrant staging of Meredith
Wilson’s The Music Man a classic piece of Americana as its
annual Broadway in the Park event. Audience members will enjoy such
song favorites as “Seventy-Six Trombones,” “Goodnight,
My Someone,” and “Till There Was You.” This professional-quality
production provides family entertainment at its finest, with pre-play
activities for children and picnicking on the grass in the park.
